I love these scenes where the artist stops just before over-defining the landscape. It's much more expressive, conveys feeling.this one is realy nice
Thanks, Shayna. In my sketches and in my paintings, I try to place the darks around the focal area and gradate outward from there. High contrasts draw the eye, so you don't want that everywhere in your sketch or your painting.
